Universal Collar - PC & Quest | Custom Fitting, Engraving Tool & OSC Leash

Fit your collar in minutes with the included custom fitting tool. Automatically position it at your humanoid avatar’s neck, then adjust its size, width, depth, height, thickness and angle—all inside Unity.

From human and anime avatars to furry characters, Universal Collar is designed to adapt to your avatar and your style. No Blender editing is needed for normal fitting or adding your own pictures.

Customise your look

Mix and match the supplied parts to create your own combination:

  • Four collar finishes: brown leather, black/purple, pink fabric and olive canvas.
  • Optional cuffs, spikes, chains and a bow.
  • Two interchangeable tag mounts: a wraparound loop and a folded tab with a metal ring.
  • 18 tag designs, all sharing the same attachment position.
  • Adjustable tag size and spike length.
  • Global metal hue adjustment.
  • Three leash finishes: brown, white/cream and dark.

Add your own pictures and engravings

The included Engraving tool makes personalising your tags simple:

  1. Choose the tag you want to customise.
  2. Select or drag in your PNG.
  3. Drag the picture directly inside the tag-shaped preview.
  4. Adjust its scale, position and rotation.
  5. Apply it as a colour picture or an engraved effect.

15 tags support custom artwork. The paw, jingle bell and cowbell use their supplied designs.

Apply the same artwork and placement to your selected PC and Quest collars together, without setting everything up twice. Separate previews let you check the results for each platform.

Custom pictures use 512 × 512 pixels per tag on PC and 256 × 256 pixels per tag on Quest. Quest reproduces the engraved appearance through baked shading.

One tool for fitting and artwork

Open Tools → Bird Man Makes → Leash Settings to access both setup tabs.

Fitting

  • Automatic placement at the humanoid neck.
  • Overall size, width and depth adjustments.
  • Collar height and thickness.
  • Position and rotation controls.
  • Explicit PC and Quest target selection.
  • Copy fitting between your PC and Quest versions.

Engraving

  • Tag selection dropdown.
  • PNG selection and drag-and-drop support.
  • Interactive image placement preview.
  • Scale, position and rotation adjustments.
  • Colour-picture and engraved-effect options.
  • Apply artwork to both platform versions.
  • PC and Quest result previews.

The fitting controls help accommodate different avatar proportions. Some manual adjustment may still be needed around unusual neck shapes, clothing or hairstyles.

Interactive collar and leash

The collar has front pull dynamics, swinging tags and a grabbable leash handle.

With OSC player pulling enabled, another player can grab the leash and pull to guide your avatar’s movement. The included interaction controls let you enable or disable other-player grabbing and OSC player pulling.

The player-movement integration is based on OSCLeash by ZenithVal.

OSC player movement requires:

  • PC VRChat.
  • OSC enabled in VRChat.
  • The included OSC companion running on the wearer’s PC.
  • Python 3.10 or newer.

Standalone Quest includes the mobile collar, customisation menus and artwork support, but cannot run the PC OSC companion.
