Galaxy Dice Orbit — Rolling Dice Bracelet for VRChat
Produktbeschreibung
Dieses Produkt enthält KI-generierte Inhalte.
Glass dice with a galaxy swirling inside orbit your wrist on a small floating ring, and when you roll them they tumble like real dice and stop on a face everyone can see.
▶ VRChat accessory · needs lilToon + Modular Avatar (both free, from VCC) · drag-and-drop prefab · Quest prefab included
No band on the skin: the dice ride a thin ring that floats around your wrist and turns with your forearm.
It always moves, with no menu: the dice go round the wrist once every 6 s, each one spinning on its own at 60 to 90° a second, and on the PC prefab the nebula inside the glass drifts and the star pips breathe.
Press Roll and they fling, tumble, slow down and settle on a random face (1 to 6). The result is synced, so everyone sees the same roll.
Flip Transform and the 3 big dice split along a glowing gold seam into 6 small ones, while the ring splits into two crossed orbits.
THE MENU (Expressions menu "Galaxy Dice" · everything but Roll is remembered)
• Left: on the left wrist, on / off (on to start)
• Right: on the right wrist, on / off (off to start)
• Transform: form B (3 big dice on one gold ring with star beads) ⇄ form C (6 small dice on two crossed orbits with a nebula band). Takes 1.2 s each way: the gold seam lights first (0.25 s), then the dice split apart or pull back together
• Roll: a button. Throw 0.3 s (the orbit speeds up 3.5x and the dice hop up a little), tumble 1.2 s slowing down, then each die turns its rolled face outward with a small overshoot (8°) and stops: 2.0 to 2.25 s after the press, the dice landing one after another. The pips glow brighter for 3 s, then the dice ease back into orbit: 5.8 to 6.05 s after the press. Works in both forms (B: 3 dice, C: 6 dice). Pressed during a transform, it waits until the transform is done
• Color: Blue Milky Way / Crimson Night Sky / Violet Void
• Size: a radial, 0.6x to 1.6x (starts at 1x)
• Orbit: a radial, how far the ring sits from your wrist
ALWAYS MOVING (no menu)
• The orbit: one lap every 6 s
• Each die spins on its own axis at 60 to 90° a second, never all in step
• PC prefab: the nebula inside the glass drifts and the star pips breathe (lilToon emission, shader time: no extra parameters or particles)
3 COLOURS (all in one prefab, switched from the menu)
• Blue Milky Way: blue glass, a white Milky Way inside, silver ring and pips
• Crimson Night Sky: red-black glass, a crimson nebula, gold ring and pips
• Violet Void: deep violet glass, a violet swirl, rose-gold ring, pale pink pips (the first colour)
SIZES (measured in Unity)
• Big dice (form B): 11.8 to 31.5 mm on an edge (19.7 mm at 1x)
• Small dice (form C): 10.1 to 26.8 mm (16.8 mm at 1x)
• Ring: 89.2 to 152 mm across (121.6 mm to start, at 1x). The smallest rings need small dice: the Orbit dial's lower end moves out as the dice get bigger (89.2 mm at 0.6x, 122.5 mm at 1.6x), so a spinning die never comes closer than 33.7 mm to the arm's centre line
PC AND QUEST
• DC_GalaxyDice (PC): glass dice with the nebula, everything above
• DC_GalaxyDice_Quest (Quest): the same menu, orbit, transform and roll. VRChat/Mobile/Toon Lit, so no clear glass, no glow and no nebula band
WHAT YOU GET
• DC_1.0.0.unitypackage: 2 prefabs (PC and Quest), 3 colour materials (lilToon), 3 Quest materials (VRChat/Mobile/Toon Lit), textures, menu, animator
• README in English and Japanese
PERFORMANCE (this item alone, measured in Unity)
• PC prefab: 7,840 triangles · Quest prefab: 4,984 triangles
• 1 skinned mesh · 1 material · 62 bones (both wrists) · no PhysBones · no particles
• 4 constraints (2 VRC Aim, 2 VRC Position: they keep the ring turned along your forearm) · 1 parameter driver (Roll's random faces)
• Synced: 9 parameters, 44 bits
• VRChat SDK performance rank: PC prefab PC Excellent · Quest prefab Quest Excellent (the PC prefab with Quest materials would be Quest Good, for its triangle count)
GOOD TO KNOW
• Needs Modular Avatar and lilToon (both free, from the VRChat Creator Companion).
• If the ring cuts into a thick wrist or floats too far from a thin one, turn the Orbit dial.
• On a Quest avatar, use DC_GalaxyDice_Quest.
SUPPORT

AI DISCLOSURE (AI-Assisted)
The code that builds these dice (model, textures, Unity setup and animations) and the text on this page were written with help from an AI assistant. An AI image generator made rough concept sketches I looked at while designing; nothing it made is in the files or in the preview images, which are rendered in Unity from the actual prefab.
