⚠️ Requires VRCFury. Add VRCFury to your project through the VRChat Creator Companion before importing, it's what installs everything onto your avatar. After that it's drag-and-drop: put the prefab on your avatar and upload.
This is my ASMR prefab for VRChat. It puts ASMR sounds on your index fingertips: Head Massage, Ear Cleaning and Hair Combing. The included Custom Sounds version has 6 sounds per hand (adds Hair Brushing, Ear Blowing and Nail Tapping) and makes it easy to use your own sound files. New in 3.1: a Hands Only version without Head mode that uses 6 audio sources instead of 9, so your avatar stays out of VRChat's Very Poor rank.
Modes (mix and match them however you like):
- Touch mode: the sound plays while your fingertip touches someone's head.
- Gesture mode: the sound plays while you make an open-palm gesture.
- Head mode: the sound plays in your own head while someone touches it with their finger. It has its own menu, sound picker and volume, and your hands keep working at the same time.
- Movement mode: the sound follows your hand speed. It gets gradually louder the faster you stroke and fades out gently when your hand stops.
Adjust it in-game to fit any avatar size:
- Touch Sensitivity: resize the touch area. A see-through orb shows its exact size while you adjust it.
- Sound Reach: how far your hand sounds carry (0.1 m to 2 m), with preview spheres while you adjust it.
- Movement Strength: how fast you need to move your hand to make sound.
- Separate volume for your left hand, right hand and head.
Preview orbs are only visible to you, and all your settings are remembered between worlds.
New in 3.1: a much smoother Movement mode, Movement Strength now sets how fast you need to move, and the new Hands Only version (6 audio sources).
New in 3.0: fixed the left hand getting stuck playing when two modes were on, fixed the custom version playing left hand sounds from your head, Head mode now has its own menu and no longer turns off your left hand, Movement mode works with every mode, new Sound Reach and Movement Strength sliders, preview orbs, saved settings and 6 sounds in the custom version.
