Japanese Bonsai - Black Pine with White Deadwood Branch (Setsurei) | VRChat World Prop

A Japanese-style bonsai 3D prop for VRChat worlds and homes.

This one is a Japanese black pine in the informal upright (moyogi) style. From the middle

of the S-curving trunk, a thick dead branch - a jin, bleached pale grey by decades of

weather - juts out to the left, while three tiers of dark green foliage settle to the

right. Deadwood and living growth share the same tree, and the coarse cracked bark

between them carries the age of it. It is named "Setsurei", meaning snow-capped peaks,

after the white ridge of that bare branch.

1. Import the unitypackage into a Unity project with the VRChat SDK (Worlds) installed

2. Drag the prefab into your scene

3. Switch the shader to liltoon or similar if you prefer

What was generated by AI:

The base 3D mesh and its base-colour texture were generated with Meshy, an

image-to-3D AI tool. The input was a reference image of a bonsai that we prepared

ourselves; no third-party artwork or scanned model was used as input.

What was done by hand, without AI:

Retopology and decimation to a VRChat-friendly triangle budget, reconstruction of a

branch that the generator failed to produce, correction of the model's facing,

material setup, scaling to real-world size, prefab construction, multi-angle quality

inspection, product photography and packaging.

Rights basis:

The model was generated under a paid Meshy plan, which grants full commercial and

resale rights to the output. Meshy states that its models are trained on legally

obtained, properly licensed data.
