Produktbeschreibung

Avatar Measure is a Unity editor extension that measures your avatar's height, head-to-body ratio, bust/waist/hip and more, automatically and all at once (Free: height, eye height and view height. Head-to-body ratio, bust/waist/hip and more are in the Full version). Drag your avatar into the window and lines and numbers appear in the Scene view. Nothing is written to the avatar, prefab or meshes (it only looks and measures).

What it measures

  • Height (without hair/ears, and with hair/ears)
  • Eye height, and VRChat view height (ViewPosition)
  • Head-to-body ratio (top of head and chin are found automatically) (Full)
  • Shoulder width, arm length, inseam (Full)
  • Bust, waist, hip (Full)

Free vs Full

  • Free: height, eye height and view height, with lines and numbers in the Scene view (height and eye lines only).
  • Full: everything in Free, plus head-to-body ratio, head length, shoulder width, arm length, inseam, bust/waist/hip, setting measuring heights by hand, scaling to a real person's height (e.g. as if the avatar were 160 cm tall), and a copyable result text.

Try the Free version first to see if your avatar measures well. Importing the Full version over the Free version replaces it.

What it takes care of

  • Works with avatars whose clothes or parts have their own bones and are merged with Modular Avatar (checked on 1 avatar built this way).
  • Shrink shape keys under clothes (such as Shrink_...) are turned off only while measuring.
  • Even in a pose with arms spread, the arms are left out when measuring around the body.

Carefully tested before release

Made by Kotokoto Lab, an independent creator. Tested on 4 free avatars (43 to 132 cm tall, including a chibi avatar), checking the line positions by eye. Avatars whose torso exists only in the clothing mesh (such as some chibi avatars) cannot be measured for bust/waist/hip. The numbers are estimates calculated from the mesh shape.

Requirements

Unity 2022.3 (tested on 2022.3.22f1), Humanoid avatar. Works without VRChat SDK or Modular Avatar (VRChat view height is shown only when the VRChat SDK is installed).

How to install

1. Download the .unitypackage (Free or Full) and drag it into the Project window, then click Import.

2. Open Tools > Avatar Measure. The window has an "English" checkbox at the top.

Terms

OK for personal and commercial use. The measured numbers can be posted anywhere, such as social media or your product pages (no credit needed). Do not redistribute or resell the tool. Use at your own risk; back up important projects first.
